New River Ranch is a Level I facility that accepts boys and girls between the ages of 10 to 17 who have been abused, neglected, homeless, or otherwise need Level I care.  Children are provided a homelike environment, with husband and wife teams serving as Teaching Parents, and a variety of leisure time activities such as horseback riding, fishing, and physical training.  All residents attend public school in Fayette County.  As a therapeutic behavioral health care facility, the Ranch provides extensive social and casework services including Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and is COA Accredited.
