West Virginia Child Care Association (WVCCA), recently named Tricia Kingery, of Kingery and Company, LLC, their new Executive Director.  She is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the organization, implementing a statewide membership campaign and creating value-added membership services.  “We are excited to have Ms. Kingery join WVCCA,” said Kathy Szafran, board president and CEO of Crittenton Services.  “Her outstanding leadership capabilities, public relations experience and passion for helping children and families will be invaluable to our growing organization.”  

Prior to establishing a consulting practice and taking on the role of Executive Director for WVCCA, Ms. Kingery worked as Senior Program Manager for a management firm specializing in community development issues for West Virginia clients, as Senior Account Executive for the region’s largest advertising and public relations firm, and as Senior Consultant for a national public affairs firm where she facilitated open dialogue between industries and communities.  Early in her career, she was a therapist for at-risk youth and director of several non-profit behavioral health programs for children and families.   
 
Ms. Kingery has a MBA from West Virginia University, MA in Counseling and BA in Psychology from Marshall University.  She understands both the fundamentals and psychology of business and thus will serve as a resource and asset to the WVCCA. As a certified Standards for Excellence trainer, she provides ethics and accountability trainings for the nonprofit sector. She is a dedicated advocate for children and families in that in addition to serving as the WVCCA Executive Director; she is the Kids First Coalition Builder for the West Virginia KIDS COUNT Fund and board member for the Family Counseling Connection.
